Parker Creek Landing A Lake Martin restaurant known for its full-service kitchen and bar made out of shipping containers has announced it will soon open a second location, according to Lake Martin Life.
The new location will be called The Landing at Harbor Point, said Herb Winches, owner of the popular spot.
The Winches hope to have it completed by mid-to-late spring, with a grand opening this summer.
The Parker Creek location has been here for about nine years and features a boat launch where guests can arrive via the lake and multiple outdoor dining pavilions with beautiful views of Lake Martin.
Winches was a sports anchor and radio personality in Birmingham from the 1970s to the 2000s, but changed careers when he opened The Landing in 2015.
Two years after opening, Winch's added a small home community next to the restaurant, offering vacation rentals for those looking to vacation by the lake.
