11-Year-Old Las Vegas Boy ‘Lost His Face’ After Allegedly Being Struck By Truck

An 11-year-old boy in Las Vegas “lost his face” after being hit by a truck on Tuesday, 8 News Now reported.

According to reports, Rayan Kim was riding her electric bike on the sidewalk heading toward Gunderson Middle School around 7:30 a.m. when she was hit by a pickup truck. Exit.

The child was struck by a 2012 Nissan Frontier, more than a mile from his destination, when he was struck and thrown from his e-bike, the paper said. He was taken to University Medical Center after the accident, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

“My son lost his right ear, his skin and his face,” his mother told the magazine.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries, including a broken jaw, bleeding on the brain, and a fractured left arm, and is struggling to survive, the paper reported. According to the newspaper, police have asked motorists to be careful of cyclists in the area as a number of accidents involving children have occurred. “We are not [need] There will be more victims,” said the victim's mother. “We have to teach and show them what true love is, what safety is, and how to save our future children.”

As of press time, the family has raised more than $26,000 for the child's surgery through a GoFundMe page. Gunderson Middle School's front office collected gift cards and presents for Kim after school on Friday, the paper said.

“He's always been by my side and has an impact on everyone's lives,” the child's mother said.
