Thomas Govan, the Republican candidate for the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals, Division 2, announced that his campaign has begun airing a new commercial outlining the background and beliefs behind his campaign slogan, “Go with Govan.”

“Our television ads inform voters of the basic facts that guide my life. I am a Christian conservative, husband, father, and protector of my community. He is a tough-on-crime prosecutor who is dedicated to the crime,” Govan said.

“My very conservative judicial philosophy helps ensure that appeals brought to the court are rooted in legal and constitutional principles rather than liberal doctrine or loose interpretation.”

Govan's commercial will air across the state, as well as on social and digital media, and will continue until the March 5 Republican primary.

Govan has spent his entire career in public service as a prosecutor. He currently heads the Criminal Justice Division of the Alabama Attorney General's Office, where he leads a team of attorneys prosecuting violent criminals and defending crime victims throughout Alabama.

Govan is an officer in the United States Air Force and a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law.him and his wife jessica I have four children.

The 2024 Alabama Republican primary is March 5, 2024.
