On Monday night, country music lost one of its biggest stars when Oklahoma native Toby Keith passed away at the age of 62.

Keith rose to fame in the 1990s after moving to Nashville from Oklahoma, where he worked in the oil fields. After the oilfield industry collapsed, Keith also played semi-pro football for the Oklahoma City Drillers before moving to Nashville to pursue his music.
