Dallas Mavericks point guard Kyrie Irving attacked Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams upon his return to Brooklyn.
Irving returned to Brooklyn with the Mavs for the first time since being unceremoniously kicked out of town for refusing to take the coronavirus vaccine. After Irving scored a game-high 36 points, fans asked him why he didn't play like this in Brooklyn.

Even when Mr. Adams lifted the citywide mandate, he maintained provisions restricting private sector employees and athletes/entertainers from participating in activities. Therefore, although Irving was allowed to attend the game as a spectator, he could not play. This makes a lot of sense.
