The sheriff's office said the woman's death did not appear to be the result of violence.
YAVAPAI COUNTY, Ariz. — Human remains discovered in Yavapai County more than 20 years ago have been identified as those of a California woman.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said the body was found in 1999 near the Bumblebee Road exit on Interstate 17. Fingerprints were taken, but his identity could not be determined at the time.
Beginning in 2018, detectives asked the FBI to reexamine the fingerprints and were able to find a match that identified the body as that of Judy Glascock of Ventura, California.
YCSO said an autopsy conducted in 1999 determined that Glasscock was not the victim of murder or violence.
