Ryan Remington case dismissed

TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) — The lawsuit against former Tucson police officer Ryan Remington, whose electric scooter suspect was shot dead, has been dismissed without prejudice.

Judge Casey McGinley’s ruling came Tuesday, a week after news broke that a Pima County grand jury had declined to indict Remington for crimes related to the November 2021 death of Richard Lee Richards. rice field.

With the lawsuit dismissed without prejudice, the Pima County Attorney’s Office is free to continue its case against Remington.
