A stolen tow truck rams police and civilian vehicles during a car chase near Washington, D.C., Friday night.
Video showed the suspect in a hit-and-run with another vehicle, crashing the stolen truck into at least one police car and 10 civilian vehicles. according to To WUSA9.
According to Maryland State Police (MSP), the suspect drove a Ford Ranger into a car on the inner loop of Interstate 495 at the Greenbelt Metro Station, then drove into a stolen Maryland Department of Transportation tow truck. He is said to have fled the scene.
According to the newspaper, Maryland State Police University Park officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run. After the suspect crashed into a guardrail, a State Highway Administration chart vehicle spotted him, and investigators said the suspect left the scene in a state-run vehicle found in a park-and-ride parking lot, the newspaper reported. It was discovered that he had run away.
The suspect allegedly drove recklessly across multiple jurisdictions during a two-hour car chase, hitting civilians and police officers, the newspaper said.

“Oh my god…the truck came straight at me,” Pham said. “I'm so scared. I'm still shaking.”
According to the newspaper, officers spotted the vehicle in Calverton, Maryland, around 5:50 p.m. The chase ended around 6:30 p.m. in the Silver Spring area, with the stolen truck coming to rest in the woods, the paper said. Officers used their batons to break the car window and rescue the suspect.
The suspect was arrested and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.
