A 7-2 ruling allows three couples to file wrongful death lawsuits after frozen embryos were destroyed at a fertility clinic, and several IVF treatment providers, including UAB Health System, suspended services due to concerns about possible prosecution.
“My goal is for Alabama to be the best place in the world to live, work, worship, and raise a family,” said Sen. Britt. “Ultimately, IVF helps create life and grow families and deserves to be protected by law. We will continue to promote a culture of living while securing resources.”
