Tucson residents facing host of weapon, drug charges

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Two Tucson residents were arrested last week and are facing numerous drug and weapons charges.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety announced that the agency's Gang and Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission executed search warrants on Friday, February 16, at homes and some storage facilities in the East Fifth and North Rosemont neighborhoods. .

DPS said detectives recovered 80 firearms and 12,400 rounds of ammunition, as well as heroin, meth and fentanyl.

Robert Stevenson, 66, and Brooke Smith, 53, were arrested on suspicion of drug possession, weapons offenses and theft of a firearm.

DPS said several of the firearms were reported stolen and both Stephens and Smith were prohibited possessors.
