Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice nominee Brian Taylor recently secured several key endorsements in a tight race that will appear on the March 5, 2024 Republican primary ballot. His latest endorsement comes from Manufacturer Alabama, the state's top trade group representing manufacturers and their industry partners.
Taylor, a former Alabama state senator, general counsel to two previous governors, and a military judge's trial attorney, said his conservative judicial philosophy resonates with key groups in the state. Told.

“Their support highlights that I am a candidate with a conservative judicial philosophy that is supported by conservative business owners and job creators, because I foresee a business-friendly environment. John Berganier, president and CEO of Manufacture Alabama, said the industry the group represents recognizes that Taylor prioritizes these core principles.
“His understanding of the issues affecting manufacturers and his experience working in the state Legislature and the executive branch of state government make him uniquely qualified to serve our court system at the highest level,” Barganier said.
“The manufacturing industry understands the importance of a fair and impartial judiciary, and we are confident that Mr. Brian will uphold these principles and strictly interpret the laws enacted by Congress.”
The group said Taylor's focus on constitutional law and appellate law, combined with his dedication to economic growth and protecting private property rights, resonates strongly with Alabama's manufacturing community.
Taylor will face Associate Justice Sarah Stewart in the Republican primary for Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court on March 5, 2024.
