House Republicans introduced legislation Thursday to counter the Chinese Communist Party and address the threat posed by the People's Republic of China.

RSC chairman Kevin Hearn said in a statement: “For years Parliament has operated under the guise of friendship with and dependence on China, when in reality the Chinese Communist Party is more powerful than any modern enemy. “This poses a major threat to U.S. sovereignty.” “We must treat the Chinese Communist Party as a threat and use every tool at our disposal to combat its influence in our schools and government.”

“This bill puts America's security and economic security first and comprehensively and vigorously targets the Chinese Communist Party,” Hahn continued. “This is the most powerful anti-Chinese Communist Party bill ever introduced in Congress, and for good reason. Congress is in full swing to protect Americans from the Chinese Communist Party and pass the Anti-Communist China Act. The time has come to take action!”
The bill calls for imposing sanctions on Chinese officials and entities until the U.S. government determines that drug overdoses and deaths have been reduced by 98%. More than 100,000 Americans will die from overdose in 2021. according to Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“Xi Jinping's dictatorship of the Communist Party of China threatens global security, endangers our allies, and destroys the future of the Chinese people,” South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson said in a statement. “We are grateful to support this important effort by the Republican Study Committee to counter the Chinese Communist Party and eradicate its negative influence in our education system and economy.”
The bill also targets Chinese-made electric vehicle batteries, prohibiting the Department of Defense from using them on bases and prohibiting the use of federal funds to purchase Chinese-made electric vehicles and parts.
