Due to heavy overnight snowfall and associated accessibility issues, the City of Flagstaff Solid Waste Section has canceled all trash and recycling collection services for Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Home Collection Service Updates:

• Residential garbage collection services are scheduled to resume on Wednesday morning, January 18.
  The rest of the week remains on a postponed schedule.
• All household recycling and bulky waste collection will be suspended for the remainder of the period.
  A week to allow the crew to catch up on residential garbage collection.
• Residential recycling and bulky waste collection services will resume next week.
• Residents will be asked to wait until 6am Wednesday morning to have their carts serviced
  Snow removal at night can be done more efficiently.
• Residential carts should be placed in front of the snowplow strip on clear roads or at the end of the clear road.
  Curb driveway for easy access. Carts placed above or behind snow balms will not be serviced due to accessibility issues.

Updates to commercial collection services:

• Commercial trash and recycling collection services are scheduled to reopen on Wednesday
  Morning of January 18th.
• Businesses using metal containers are asked to clear the front of the container and enclosure gates
  Ensure maintainability. City trucks require a 14 foot clearance width to access metal bins.
