The driver has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated DUI, officials said.
TUCSON, Ariz. — An 11-month-old infant died after his stroller was hit by a car near Tucson Tuesday night.
According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, the baby was being placed in a stroller by an adult near Letrauf and Kane streets around 8:30 p.m. As they were crossing Rutlauf Street, they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The infant was taken to the hospital, where he died. A 34-year-old adult suffered minor injuries.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Colton Ortiz, is charged with manslaughter, aggravated DUI and aggravated assault, according to the sheriff's office.
