A gun was found Thursday in the backpack of an 8-year-old student at a Brooklyn school, the New York Post reported.
The discovery was made following reports that the child had previously brandished a gun at another student. according to to the New York Post. The child who had been threatened the day before told his mother about the incident. The mother then visited the school to notify authorities. Following her report, school authorities conducted a search that resulted in the recovery of an unloaded Taurus .380 gun from the student's backpack.
