University of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe will perform at the “Fun Jam” celebrity softball game on June 19 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham.
The game will “embrace the culture, style and skill of the Negro Leagues” and will take place ahead of the MLB game between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals at Rickwood Field on June 20. The game will take place on June 19 as part of an event officially named “Barnstorm Birmingham,” followed byIP-hop artist Metro Boomin.
Milroe will be one of several notable people with Alabama ties appearing at the game, along with NFL quarterback Jameis Winston, a Hueytown High School graduate, and Birmingham native and comedian Roy Wood Jr.
The game will take place at 7 pm and will be broadcast on the MLB Network. The event is open to fans, and tickets can be purchased for $24. mlb.com/events/rickwood.
