Renowned actor and comedian Eddie Murphy has teased fans with new information about the upcoming 'Shrek the Fifth' and also debunked rumors about a 'Donkey Kong' spin-off.

Murphy announced in a recent interview that the highly anticipated Shrek 5 is currently in production. Murphy also teased that the beloved and silly Donkey character will return in an all-new incarnation. Shrek fans will be delighted to see the hilarious Donkey return in his own standalone movie. According to Collider, Murphy has also announced that he is developing a film starring Donkey, which will reveal new sides to the character as he goes on an adventure.

“Shrek is coming out, and Donkey is going to have his own movie,” Murphy said. “We're going to do Donkey, too. So we're going to do Shrek, we're going to do Donkey.”

“I've started shooting Shrek, which I think will come out in 2025, and then I'm shooting Donkey next,” Murphy told Collider.
