Jared Padalecki opened up about his struggles with mental health during an interview on the podcast “I Never Said This with Tommy Didario” on Tuesday.
Padalecki, along with his wife Genevieve, spoke about his experience with suicidal thoughts that led him to seek help at a clinic in 2015. Padalecki revealed that during a particularly low point in his life, he realised the seriousness of his mental health condition and checked himself into the facility.

“I was so consumed by my thoughts that I was going into a dramatic, suicidal state. I called my wife and she said, 'Go home.' So I went home, went to the clinic for a few weeks, got checked out and I haven't had any suicidal thoughts since. From the moment I was told, I was no longer suicidal,” he explained. Podcasts.

Padalecki also addressed the recent cancellation of The CW's show “Walker,” expressing his sadness and broader concern for his colleagues and those involved in the show.
