Bruce Pearl: It ‘blows my mind’ that anyone LGBTQ can support Hamas, who would have them ‘killed’

In an interview Campus ReformAuburn University basketball coach Bruce Pearl noted the irony between LGBTQ people in the United States and their personal and political support for the terrorist organization Hamas, arguing that under their laws LGBTQ people cannot openly express their lifestyle without being persecuted and in some cases “killed.” clock:

“I don't believe there is any connection between the LGBT community and the suffering of the Palestinian people, the Islamic movement or Hamas. If you are gay and you are in certain parts of the Hamas-controlled areas of the Gaza Strip… you will be killed. That is not acceptable,” Pearl said.

“But somehow these groups have come together and all we have to do is hate Jews. That's what we have in common. And it's out there. … Oct. 7 and April 13 were huge wake-up calls for Jewish Americans who don't think the Holocaust can happen again. … Israel is under attack every day. If we lose Israel, where do we go?”

He stressed that Israel does not have enough support even among American elected officials.

“Right now we have many elected officials in this country who support Hamas, who support the enemies of Israel, who want the death of Israel. In this country we shout slogans: 'Death to America,' 'Death to Israel,' 'Death to the Jews.' This is not what I want,” he said.

As news broke on Wednesday morning that at least seven Israelis had been injured in an explosive drone attack, Perle spoke out again, saying Israelis just want to go to work and wake up without the fear of being killed.

“Good morning! Heading into work in Auburn, Alabama! I'm worried I may be hit by a rocket in Israel! Today's attack was likely by Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah. But most of the world says Israel should not escalate any further! Where else on Earth is this kind of act of war tolerated on a daily basis? Israelis don't want war. They just don't want to get up this morning and go to work and worry about getting hit by a rocket. The reason they will be attacked? Because they are Jewish and live in the land God promised them! I moved to Auburn, Alabama 10 years ago and I have to go to work. God Bless America!” she tweeted.
