Police have reportedly issued a warning to fans dressed as maids who were trying to break into rock star Rick Springfield's mansion.
Authorities said the unidentified woman in her 40s showed up to Springfield's Los Angeles home twice within a week to meet up with him. TMZShe reportedly let herself through the gated community by lying to security that she was the star's maid – it's unclear how they determined she wasn't employed by the Springfield mansion – and she reportedly tried to re-enter a second time.

TMZ's sources say the female fan made a second visit to his Springfield home, this time connecting with his family. The fan was reportedly able to gain access to the property and spoke with one of the star's sons.
A source familiar with the situation told TMZ that officers were called to the home to handle the situation and remove the unwelcome guest from Springfield's property. Authorities reportedly demanded that she leave the location and instructed the fan not to return to the residence.

Despite the woman in question reportedly breaking into her Springfield home twice, the case is not currently being considered stalking. The standard for stalking requires showing harassing or threatening behavior, and according to TMZ, there was no imminent threat to the star's safety at the time. Police will reportedly be conducting additional patrols in the area as a precautionary measure.
