Autumn Crittendon of “16 & Pregnant” died Saturday at age 27 at her home in Henrico County, Virginia.

Her sister posted the news of her death on Facebook on Sunday but later deleted the message for unclear reasons. TMZA source with direct knowledge of what happened to the MTV star has provided further details about the circumstances that led to her death. A source close to the matter said Crittendon's stepfather found her unconscious in her bedroom. According to TMZ, she had been suffering from a variety of ailments shortly before her death.

Crittendon was living in the home with her children, mother and stepfather. The stepfather immediately called for help, and paramedics were called to the scene. According to TMZ, they performed CPR on the reality TV star, but unfortunately, efforts to save his life were unsuccessful.

Sources say Crittendon had been ill prior to her death. She had complained of heartburn and had considered seeing a doctor before her death. She was also diabetic and had kidney disease and blood pressure issues that led to her death.

According to TMZ, her family is in contact with law enforcement officials from Henrico County Police and the coroner to determine the exact cause and manner of death, as well as any factors that may have contributed to this tragedy.
