Travis and Jason Kelsey are reportedly asking for $100 million for their “New Heights” podcast, suggesting they lack the self-awareness to comprehend their current fame.

Apparently “New Heights” is one of the most popular podcasts on the playlist right now. I asked 10 people this morning if they'd listened to it, and every single one said “no.” And most of them said they only listen to podcasts while driving these days, and not that often. Still, Whiskey Riff To tell “New Heights” is the number 4 ranked podcast at the time of writing, which probably has something to do with Travis's relationship with Taylor Swift.

The Kelsey brothers believe their 1.92 million listeners per episode would make them worth $100 million, which would put them in the same league as Daily Caller co-founders Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan, the two most popular podcast hosts of all time.

According to sources, the brothers approached Amazon-owned Wonderly and struck a deal to bring the show to the network. Said Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Clearly no one sent them the memo that podcasts are a medium in decline. And the only reason women care about either of the Kelsey brothers is because one of them is sleeping with Swift. If Kelsey hadn't dated Swift, we'd all be like, “Who is Travis?” If it didn't work out between him and Swift, we'd all go back to that mindset… just like with all of her exes.

Part of me hopes that both men stay on their current trajectory, because they're clearly happy. I can only hope that they save what money they have. Also, while I'm convinced that Travis will eventually become one of the go-to hosts on American TV, Swifty might think differently if he actually proposes to her.

But one poorly timed photo, one botched date with Swift, and it could all fall apart.
