A Los Angeles jury found Freddie Lee Trone guilty of one count of murder on Wednesday in the shooting death of famed rapper PnB Rock, TMZ reports.
Trone was also convicted of one count of conspiracy to robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery in connection with Starr's 2022 murder. TMZ The latter incident also involved Trone's teenage son, according to the outlet. PnB Rock, 30, was shot and killed while dining with his girlfriend at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles restaurant in Los Angeles, the outlet reported.

According to TMZ, police allege that Tron orchestrated the rapper's murder by sending his teenage son to a restaurant to rob and kill PnB Rock. Police also allege that Tron was the mastermind behind the entire scheme, and also served as the getaway driver after the orchestrated murder.
Prosecutors reportedly said a man named Tremont Jones tipped off Tron to PnB Rock's location that night. He was convicted of two counts of robbery and one count of conspiracy, according to TMZ.

The prosecution argued that the boy was acting on his father's orders, but the defense argued that Trone was merely an accessory after the fact.
Trond's 19-year-old son was also charged with the rapper's murder, but a judge reportedly found him incompetent to stand trial. CBS NewsHe is reportedly still being held in a juvenile detention center.

PnB Rock was reportedly wearing $500,000 worth of jewelry at the time of his death.

Trong's sentence is set to be handed down on August 27, 2024.
