The system covers an area stretching from Florence, South Carolina, to Fayetteville and Raleigh, with two areas of significant concern around Goldsboro near Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

“Tropical cyclones are the most efficient producers of tornadoes,” Timmer told The Daily Caller in a text.
I told him it looked like the skies were clearing in the area, and he replied, “As the clouds break up, there could be an increased risk of tornadoes.”
