‘Hurry, Hurry, Hurry!’: Authorities Release Uvalde Massacre Footage And 911 Audio

Authorities released horrifying video footage of the Uvalde massacre and audio of the 911 call on Saturday, according to ABC News.

In a significant development following the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, extensive 911 call and police footage was released, highlighting the confusion and delays in the police response. According to The announcement came after a lengthy legal battle in which media organizations, including The Associated Press, challenged city officials' initial refusal to release the records.

The crisis began with a 911 call reporting that a pickup truck had crashed near the school and that the driver, later identified as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, was armed and charging toward the building. “Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!” a teacher called 911, according to ABC News. Subsequent calls show swift terror, with one caller yelling that Ramos had shot kids and another, identified as Ramos' uncle, pleading for a chance to calm his nephew.

According to ABC News, video footage and phone calls provide a timeline showing how nearly 400 police officers hesitated for more than 70 minutes before intervening, even as gunfire continued inside classrooms, leaving some injured and some dead.
