It's a tough time to be a Niners fan.

After playing in the Super Bowl last year and being one of the favorites to win it in 2024, the San Francisco 49ers have incredibly high expectations heading into the new season.

That being said, things have been pretty bad for the Niners going into the preseason with a slew of injuries — so many, in fact, that they were forced to cancel their upcoming training sessions with the New Orleans Saints, according to ESPN NFL reporter Nick Wagoner.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. And that's not even mentioning the fact that they still don't have a linebacker. Dre Greenlawwill not return until midseason after suffering a torn ACL in last season's Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

It's brutal… and this is exactly why the 49ers decided to cancel joint practice with the Saints.

The Niners remain in Santa Clara this week for a preseason game.
