Dental Staff Caught Allegedly Mocking Cancer Patient’s Diary In Disturbing Video

Dental staff in Tennessee were caught on video appearing to mock a cancer patient's diary, KVUE reported.

An incident has come to light at Knoxville's Premier Dental Group where staff were caught on video mocking a cancer patient's personal diary. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows employees laughing as they read the patient's personal thoughts about his treatment and anxieties. According to To KVUE.

The backlash was immediate, with many calling for a boycott of the dental clinic. In response, Premier Dental Group apologized on its Facebook page, acknowledging that the video was inappropriate and showed a lack of respect and professionalism for an individual's medical condition. However, the apology didn't last long, and the dental clinic's Facebook profile was removed shortly thereafter. WBIR stated.

“Premier Dental Group of Knoxville is aware of a recent incident in which some of our employees created and shared an inappropriate video that addressed an individual's medical condition in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. We deeply regret this incident and the hurt it has caused,” the company said in a statement, WBIR reported.

The dental group has launched an internal investigation and is reviewing its policies and training procedures to prevent such conduct in the future. WBIR reports that the employees involved have been disciplined, but specific details about disciplinary action have not been released.
