As a Braves fan, I can't deny his enthusiasm.
Atlanta Braves Center Fielder Michael Harris II He returned to the lineup on Wednesday after an extended stint on the IL. Harris had been out with a hamstring injury. June 14th.
In his first at-bat since going on the disabled list, Harris came to bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning and the Braves were already leading 1-0 against the San Francisco Giants. This scenario gave Harris the perfect opportunity to stage a Class A comeback, and that's exactly what he did. Harris hit a grand slam to give Atlanta a 5-0 lead. The home run flew straight into McCovey Cove. As per usual, Giants fanatic “McCovey Cove Dave” was in his kayak waiting for the ball to go into the water. And it did, and Dave was able to retrieve Harris' grand slam. This was the first time in his career that he had done so.
Since it was a special occasion for Harris, you would think that “McCorvey Cove Dave” would have given the ball back, right?
No, rather my husband was trying to pull off the deal of a lifetime.

A man kayaking in McCorvey Bay Followhas caught or recovered 37 home runs that went into the water, including Harris tonight. I wouldn't trade Harris for a jersey or anything, because that's the first grand slam he ever recovered. Hey, hey, hey.

I heard today from someone involved in yesterday's negotiations for the Grand Slam Ball by Michael Harris II that McCovey Cove Dave, who got the ball, wanted a job with the Giants instead. They obviously turned him down. He didn't want the traditional one. #Braves It was provided.

My husband tried and failed to get his shot, but I have to respect his attempt.
