Planned Parenthood of the Great Rivers will offer free medication abortions and vasectomies during the first two days of the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

Great Rivers Planned Parenthood, which covers parts of Missouri and southern Illinois, plans to offer abortion pills and vasectomies at a mobile clinic on Monday and Tuesday a few blocks from the convention site in Chicago, illustrating how abortion politics will dominate this year's Democratic convention, The New York Times reports. Reported On Friday, The New York Times reported that there is already a waiting list for the free vasectomy procedures.

Planned Parenthood of Great Rivers promoted a mobile health clinic. Instagram and LinkedIn The Twitter account captioned the post, “Beep Beep! Let's go Chicago! Planned Parenthood's mobile clinic, along with Chicago Abortion Fund (@chicagoabortionfund) and The Wieners Circle (@wienerscircle), will be providing free vasectomies and medication abortions in the West Loop on Monday, August 19th and Tuesday, August 20th. Emergency contraception will also be provided at no cost, with no appointment needed.”

According to the NYT, Democratic National Convention attendees, whether they're delegates or not, will have access to medication abortions and vasectomies. In addition to the mobile clinics, Planned Parenthood stores near the convention will also offer abortions and vasectomies. According to The New York Times, a group of online creators and activists are hosting a “Hot People for Harris” party near the convention site, where they also plan to install a large “inflatable IUD,” a type of birth control, which they plan to call the “Frida Oom.”

The D.N.C. held The convention will be held in Chicago, Illinois from August 19 to 22. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, are scheduled to speak at the convention about abortion and IVF.

In May, pro-abortion activists sued the city of Chicago after the city said it would not allow them to march outside the Democratic National Convention, ABC7 Chicago reported. ReportedCivil rights and pro-abortion groups said they planned to demonstrate on the eve of the convention, with or without a permit.

The Great Rivers Planned Parenthood Federation did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
