According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor John Aprea, who appeared in “The Godfather Part II” and “Full House,” died in Los Angeles on August 5 at the age of 83.
Aprea's manager, Will Levin, confirmed the news of his death. The Hollywood ReporterThe actor's death was reported to have been caused by natural causes.
Topping his list of notable credits in both film and television is the legendary 1972 film, “The Godfather.” Aprea is said to have met producer and director Francis Ford Coppola while working as a bartender in Los Angeles, and later auditioned for the role of Michael Corleone. Al Pacino won the lead role, and Aprea starred as gangster Tessio in the first sequel. Aprea is also famous for playing the role of exterminator John Stamos' father on ABC's “Full House” from 1988 to 1991, reprising the role in the 2017 Netflix reboot.

Aprea has also appeared in “The Montefuscos,” “The Idolmaker” and “Matt Houston.” According to the outlet, his roles also include “Mannix,” “The Rookies,” “NYPD Blue,” “The Stepford Wives,” “The Game” and “American Anthem.”
Additionally, Aprea has displayed his acting talents in films such as “Caged Heat,” “Crazy Mama” and “The Manchurian Candidate” in 2004, as well as “The Idolmaker” in 1980. According to the outlet, he played a different gangster persona in “New Jack City” and then played gang boss Albert Anastasia in the highly-acclaimed series “The Gangster Chronicles.”

According to the outlet, Aprea played villain Lucas Castigliano in the soap opera “Another World,” and has also made guest appearances in “FBI,” “Wonder Woman,” “Silk Stalkings,” “The Sopranos” and “Cold Case.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aprea is survived by his third wife, Betsy Garci, his daughter Nicole from his previous marriage to actress Shelley Latimer, and stepchildren Malika Parker and Valentino Garci.
