Schneider stuck to his comedic style after being asked to cut his performance short during a fundraiser in Regina, Canada, due to backlash from the audience. The event was meant to raise money for the Regina Hospital Foundation, and some attendees walked out in protest, voicing their opposition to Schneider's comments.

Schneider defended his approach to comedy. Interview Speaking to THR at the New York premiere of Adam Sandler's new Netflix comedy special, Schneider claims that audiences walking out screaming at his comedy shows is proof he's right. “I'm doing the right thing,” the comedian explained. “Freedom of speech isn't about saying nice things. It's not about what's socially acceptable. Freedom of speech is what you say that challenges you. What's not okay is free speech. What's easy to say, what's acceptable to everyone, doesn't need protection. I'm there to challenge the audience.”

When discussing Canada, he was scathing about the country.[Canada is] “I am very proud that I stood up against dictatorship under a repressive regime that called protesters terrorists,” he continued. [Prime Minister Justin] Trudeau has acted persistently and I'm glad I pissed them off. Given the opportunity, I would do it again, but I don't think they'll let me in anytime soon.”
In June, during a fundraiser for the Regina Hospital Foundation in Canada, Schneider was forced to leave the stage and end his comedy routine as attendees began to leave.
