Big changes for Justin Madubuike!
Justin MadubuikeThe Baltimore Ravens star defensive lineman has made a name for himself in the 2023 season. In fact, his season has been so successful that he has become one of the best interior defensive linemen in the entire NFL. And that success is expected to continue in 2024 as he is part of one of the most dominant defenses in the league.
But that being said, he will have a new name on the back of his jersey from the new year – not 'Madubuike' but 'Nnamdi', the name of his native Nigeria. (RELATED: “So what happened?”: LeSean McCoy criticizes “Mid” Kyler Murray after bragging about his high school days)
Madubuike, now Nnamdi, officially announced the news on Saturday via his Baltimore Twitter account.
“It was just about telling the truth and being myself. I felt the more truth I told, the better player I would be, the better person I would be. I thought I would go by my real name. Nnamdi is my real name,” Nnamdi said.

As someone who has the Baltimore Ravens defense on his fantasy football team, I fully support Justin doing what he needs to do to feel 100% comfortable heading into the new season.
I've got money and championship rings to win, so just like the Swifties (Patrick Mahomes is my quarterback), Justin, keep going.
