Oh my goodness! Look at the havoc my wand is causing! (LOL)
Heading into the 2024 season, everyone at UF knew this was a pivotal season for the team, including head coach Billy Napier. And yet, Saturday's season opener was just awful.
The Gators kicked off the season with a home game against the Miami Hurricanes in “The Swamp” and it was a glorious season for a team that was 0-5 after three straight wins! It was also a big season for the Hurricanes and we made it clear that we would outplay the Gators and compete for the National Championship this year. 41-17 Flash Show Cam Ward & Co. Needless to say, Florida has a lot of problems, including Napier's attacks on his “rural, Central Florida” fan base.
“We've got to work on the football part,” Napier said, “and I think we've got to be a lot more, a lot more consistent team and do better. And if we can focus on those things and not necessarily obsess about what some guy in a basement in rural Central Florida is saying on social media, we have a chance to get better.”
