Betting Lines For Georgia-Alabama Rivalry Game Give Us Something We Haven’t Seen In Nearly 20 Years

This is unbelievable.

No doubt, Saturday night's rivalry No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide The latter will be held in Tuscaloosa, marking one of the biggest games of the 2024 college football season.

Throughout the past 10 yearsThe Bulldogs and Crimson Tide game is a highlight of the SEC, and the two teams have met multiple times in the SEC and National Championships.

Alabama has won more games than Georgia over that time, but despite that dominance, Alabama will enter this year's game as the underdog. (Related article: Young child spotted drinking beer at Texas Longhorns football game, what kind of bad parenting is this?)

“No. 4 Alabama begins the week as a rare home underdog against No. 2 Georgia in an SEC showdown in Tuscaloosa on Saturday,” he wrote. ESPN's David Purdum“The Crimson Tide were viewed as two-point underdogs to the Bulldogs by sportsbooks on Monday.”

And here's where it gets interesting: Alabama has been the favorite in 90 consecutive home games, meaning the last time they were underdogs at home was all the way back to 2007 against LSU, which is nearly 20 years ago.

These are truly astonishing numbers.

Makes me wonder… if Nick Saban was still the head coach at Alabama, would the betting lines look like this?
