“What I've noticed over the last week or so is there's been a lot of negativity about the status quo from people on both sides of the aisle, particularly on the Democratic side, but not only. And there's also a persistent concern that Vice President Harris, who we've discussed a lot on this platform, hasn't given people enough specifics about what she would do if she were president, that she's not ultra-liberal, and there's also a concern that we're not being vigorous enough in our efforts to do that,” Halperin said. “For example, if you look at Oprah's events, which were very successful on the communications scale, very few of them publicly shared any details.”

Harris gave incoherent answers to audience questions about the border crisis. Cost of Living The vice president was speaking at Oprah Winfrey's “Unite for America” rally in Michigan on Thursday. Closing Remarks When Winfrey asked, “What's on the air?” [her] As the election approaches, I have a message in mind for the American people.

“She's scheduled to speak on Wednesday, but we'll see how it goes. Her communications team has promised more interviews and public events, but there's growing concern among Democrats that she's not seriously trying to address these concerns,” Halperin continued. “She's just trying to create the appearance that she's addressing these concerns, and that's not enough to win. They suspect that the campaign thinks that's enough to win.”

The reporter also noted that Republicans are concerned that former President Donald Trump's “performance has been so inconsistent” and that he has “taken so many actions that are at odds with striving to win” that he could “undermine” their chances of victory.

“People who believe the vice president may be undermining the election believe Trump may be undermining the election, but there's a qualitative difference there. Republicans believe Trump can win if he can do well over the course of a few weeks of campaigning,” Halperin said. “The thinking on the Democratic side — people on the Democratic side who are skeptical of the vice president — is that she doesn't believe she's capable of doing what needs to be done, and they're very concerned that as time goes on, that's not going to happen.”
