MLB couldn't be more important here.
The league created announcement Monday announced several changes to the uniforms for the next two campaigns, one of which is the glorious return of the All-Stars who donned the home and away jerseys at the Midsummer Classic. This change will take effect from the 2025 season.
Major League Baseball also announced a collaboration with the Fanatics, Nike, and the MLB Players Association to resolve the incredible problems facing Uni at the start of the year. (Related: Giants fire director of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi, replaced by franchise legend Buster Posey)
Kicking off in 2025, implementation is expected to be fully completed by 2026, allowing players to customize their pants, with much larger font sizes, and a full return to the materials used previously.
The news was announced after confusion among both players and fans. Issuing a complaint About how bad the 2024 uniforms were. The players were sweating, their pants were completely see-through, the colors didn't match, their nameplates were embarrassingly small, and they were easily torn. And when it came to All-Star jerseys, they were downright ugly.
MLB will resume having players wear home uniforms at the All-Star Game, and in 2023, uniform materials will return to the original and names will be in larger letters. Click here for details: https://t.co/IdIo9F7IAM
