“American Pickers” star Frank Fritz passed away on September 30th at the age of 60.
Longtime friend and costar Mike Wolfe confirmed the tragic news on Instagram on Tuesday. “It is with a heavy heart that I want to share with you all that Frank passed away last night,” Wolfe said in a statement. “I know [sic] frank no more [sic] Half my life, and what you've seen on TV, I've always been a dreamer who was as sensitive as he was funny,” he said, paying tribute to Fritz.

In a heartfelt statement, Wolf recalled fond memories of the special moments he shared with Fritz over the course of their friendship.
“Off-camera, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of many by being his authentic self,” he wrote.
“Who would have ever dreamed that we would be sitting in the cockpit of a white cargo van in front of millions of people interested in our adventures? Before the show, we We set out together to places we didn't even know existed, with a destination in mind and just a shared passion for discovering something interesting and historic.”

He concluded with a personal and emotional message.
“We have traveled countless times and shared many miles, but when he finally returns home, I feel blessed to have been by his side. I love you and will miss you so much, I know you are in a better place,” Wolf said.

Mr. Wolf did not provide details about Mr. Fritz's cause of death or the circumstances that may have contributed to his tragic death.
