Every Member Of Major Blue City School Board To Resign Amid Conflict With Mayor

All seven members of the Chicago Board of Education agreed to resign in late October following disagreements with the mayor over the school district’s budget, announced Friday.

Mayor Brandon Johnson and Chicago Public Schools CEO Pedro Martinez have been at odds in recent months over the mayor’s proposal to close a $1 billion gap in the school district’s budget, The New York Times reported.
