Chargers’ Jim Harbaugh Forced To Leave Game Against Broncos After Suffering Irregular Heartbeat

Damn, Jim…

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was temporarily removed from Sunday’s game. 23-16 victory First quarter against the Denver Broncos.

The Chargers initially announced that Harbaugh was suffering from an illness, but the captain later spoke to a CBS sideline reporter and said he had an irregular heartbeat. In the postgame press conference, Harbaugh revealed that he suffers from a type of arrhythmia known as atrial flutter. This arrhythmia causes the upper chambers of the heart to beat between 250 and 350 times per minute. After Harbaugh left the game, the Chargers said it was questionable whether he would return to the sideline, but he returned shortly thereafter.

Jesse Minter, the team’s defensive coordinator, served as interim head coach until Harbaugh returned.

Man, it really sucks that health has to be constantly involved in our lives. I mean, yeah, we all have to die at some point, and we know our health declines as we get older, but it still sucks. And that’s especially true when it gets in the way of greatness.

I blame Adam and Eve for biting into that apple.
