The Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts as communities are devastated in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helen and Milton. response Or the lack of it is a national disgrace.
Families are left to fend for themselves while Vice President Kamala Harris, who is supposed to be the main leader, is paraded around the country appearing on shows like The View and “The View.” late show with Stephen Colbert instead of addressing the immediate needs of the American people in crisis. As millions of people grapple with destroyed homes and flooded neighborhoods, Ms. Harris appears interested in speaking out on television about the issue and campaigning for the November election. is. This is not the leadership Americans signed up for.
Harris and President Joe Biden were conspicuous by their absence as Americans in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee prepared for the effects of Hurricane Helen. Biden rested instead of making preparations to save lives on the beach While Harris was present; elitist fundraiser In San Francisco. When the people needed leaders the most, they were nowhere to be found.
In stark contrast, President Donald Trump did not hesitate to visit the disaster areaprovide financial support and provide real leadership. This is a president who cares about the American people. other conservative leaders Partnered with Bitter Gourd Foodstheir Goya Cares initiative, and other organizations supporting victims in Georgia.
The impact on the Hispanic community is even more severe. many communities hit hard by these hurricanes is the hometown of Hard-working Hispanic Americans who contribute so much to our country. From small business owners to essential workers, they are trying to recover from a devastating hurricane in the face of an administration that is failing at every level. The Biden-Harris team appears to be more focused on media appearances and fundraising than on actual solutions.
My sister-in-law, her family, and others in Asheville, North Carolina, are facing unimaginable challenges as they try to rebuild their lives after Hurricane Helen. However, there is still no response from the government, and the situation remains uncertain.
To make matters worse, FEMA is funding it. Approximately $650 million — was used to aid illegal aliens rather than actual victims of natural disasters like Hurricane Helen. This misallocation of resources is an insult to Americans who desperately need help rebuilding their lives.
This negligence is not an isolated incident. This illustrates how the Biden-Harris administration is prioritizing political viewpoints over effective governance. As vice president, Harris will be able to mobilize resources and visit affected areas to provide real solutions. Instead, she focused on fancy events and rehearsal interviews, failing to address pressing issues.
In North Carolina, victims of Hurricane Helen could have benefited from priority government response, even as the death toll rises and many people are barely surviving. Instead, Harris found time to participate in the raunchy podcast “Call Her Daddy.”
To those affected by the hurricane, The government’s inaction is infuriating.. Hispanic families are disproportionately affected by natural disasters and often live in flood-prone and damage-prone areas. But, as in the tragedies in East Palestine, Ohio, and Maui, Hawaii, this administration once again failed the public’s expectations.
It’s time to demand accountability. The victims of Hurricanes Helen and Milton need leadership that takes action, not empty promises from politicians who are more focused on public relations campaigns than the devastation facing millions of Americans. Hispanic communities, like many others, are resilient, but resilience alone is not enough to rebuild homes or restore power. That requires resources and real leadership, both of which Harris has failed to provide in this crisis.
American citizens deserve better. They need a government that puts the people first. Instead of going on talk shows and laughing about unrelated issues, Ms. Harris should be on the ground, meeting with victims and leading the charge. Her failure to act is a betrayal of the very people she was elected to serve.
We can no longer tolerate leaders who view the suffering of Americans as secondary to their political aspirations. Hurricane Helen victims, especially those in the Hispanic community, are watching — and they won’t soon forget this betrayal. The Biden-Harris administration can no longer hide behind the cameras. The time for real leadership has passed.
It’s not just homes that need to be rebuilt in the aftermath of these hurricanes. It also requires confidence in the government’s ability to protect its people. Vice President Kamala Harris has shown that she is more interested in political theater than the welfare of people struggling to survive. How many more Americans will suffer until she takes her job seriously?
Let this be a wake-up call to all Americans. Leadership is important. When disaster strikes, we need leaders who show up, not those who ignore us.
Incompetence and apathy have no place in the White House.
