REPORT: Haunted House Owner Convicted Of Sexually Assaulting Child

The owner of a Wisconsin haunted house was reportedly found guilty Monday of sexually assaulting a teenage boy who worked at the attraction.

After an investigation, police arrested John Schwartz, who ran Scare USA in Two Rivers, on suspicion of having sexual relationships with multiple underage employees over a 10-year period. WLUK reported.

The 38-year-old convicted predator pleaded no contest to three felonies: sexual intercourse with a child under 19, fourth-degree sexual assault, and emotional harm to a child, none of which It was reported that the award had been withdrawn or reduced.

The victim said he was “a shell of his former self” after the alleged sexual assault and subsequent court proceedings, prosecutors said in a statement read in court Monday. The victim’s statement said: “No one deserves to go through the pain I have endured.”

The prosecution and defense agreed to recommend a five-year suspended sentence with conditions. Schwartz’s sentencing is scheduled for Wednesday, the newspaper said.

Mr. Schwartz appeared in court on Friday after his arrest. WLUK Reported. A $50,000 cash bond was set, and the haunted house owner was ordered to have no contact with minors if he posted the bond.
