The U.S. Forest Service has announced the closure of portions of the Coronado National Forest near Copper Canyon. Here is a state border wall made out of shipping containers.
The closure will begin on January 3rd and will continue until March 15th. Meanwhile, states remove containers that the federal government claims are illegal.
The Forest Service said the closure was “to protect the health and safety of the public.”

Last week, Governor Doug Ducey agreed to the provisions of a federal court action on the wall to begin demolition of the wall in January.
Ducey has ordered the state to begin construction of the wall in the Yuma sector early in the year. Construction moved to Cochise County and Coronado National Forest a few months later.
Ducey and the state have been sued by the federal government and the Center for Biodiversity over building the wall.
