It seems like the days of hot and downright slutty Halloween costumes are coming to an end, with stars opting for more creative showcases instead.

Once upon a time, we could count on stars to perfect our indecent outfits. And while we still see some of it, the vast majority of our favorite celebrities choose to put countless hours and tons of money into customized outfits. The handmade pieces eventually become a wearable art form. Halloween 2024 hits include Heidi Klum’s recreation of ET and Kim Kardashian’s albino alligator.

The door to creative costumes is wide open and say goodbye to revealing outfits. Stars are grabbing attention in a whole new way, and supermodel Heidi Klum decked it out with her much-anticipated outfit, which she says took an entire year to create. Klum wowed fans with her transformation into ET from Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1982 film. This is not what you would expect from a supermodel who is in top shape, and if she hadn’t aired the big reveal, you probably wouldn’t have even noticed she was inside the costume. Her perfect figure was completely covered as she wore a costume that included animatronic eyes, a long neck, and a blonde wig. Her face is built into ET’s head, allowing her to see and speak.

Kim Kardashian is always showing some skin on social media, and this Halloween she chose to do it in a completely different way. She transformed into an albino crocodile, and she certainly showed off, but not in the Playboy bunny-like way that most would expect. She avoided revealing costumes that revealed skin, instead having parts of the crocodile costume painted directly onto her skin, and prosthetic legs were used to highlight the details of the crocodile’s scales.

Perhaps the biggest indicator that skin isn’t “in” is Megan Fox. You can always count on Foxx to show as much of her body as Instagram legally allows, but even she hasn’t put any on display this year. Foxx and Machine Gun Kelly attended Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party dressed as Star Wars couple Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala, but she was completely covered up.

For those who were expecting skimpy outfits, don’t worry. These stars regularly show off ample exposure. You can also spend the day without it.
