Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton on Wednesday criticized his party’s focus on identity politics, saying he doesn’t want his daughters to be “run over” by men playing sports.
“I have two little girls and I don’t want them to be run over by men or former male athletes on the field,” Moulton told New York Times reporter Reid Epstein.
“But as a Democrat, I should be afraid to say that,” he concluded.

Moulton was not the only Democrat to blame identity politics for the party’s electoral failures.
Democratic New York Congressman Tom Suozzi said The New York Times reported that Democrats who won the vote were able to do so by distancing themselves from some of the party’s positions on social issues. (Related article: Chris Cuomo says President Trump won because of “way-ism running wild”)
“Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left. I don’t want to discriminate against anyone, but I don’t think biological boys should play women’s sports,” Suozzi said, according to the New York Times. Ta.
“Democrats aren’t saying that, and they shouldn’t be saying that,” Suozzi added.

According to Gallup in September, transgender rights ranked last of 22 issues important to registered voters in the 2024 election. public opinion poll. 36% of voters said it was not important to them at all.
