Sedona Film Festival presents ‘My Penguin Friend’ Nov. 22-27

sedona news – The Sedona International Film Festival will present “My Penguin Friend” at the Alice Gill Sheldon Theater from November 22-27.

An epic family adventure, My Penguin Friend is the triumphant story of friendship between a lonely father and Dindim, a lost penguin whose unwavering loyalty across oceans recharges his spirit and heals his family.

Joan (international star Jean Reno), a humble fisherman, turns his back on society after a tragedy. But when he discovers a penguin floating alone in an oil spill, his first instinct is to help. To the dismay of his wife (Oscar nominee Adriana Barraza), he not only saves the sea creatures, but also takes a flightless bird under his wing.

Joan begins to feel joy for the first time in years, but cannot understand how much of an unbreakable bond they have built. When the penguin suddenly disappears into the vast wilderness of the ocean, Joan believes it will be impossible to see her friend again. But thousands of miles away, the penguin is caught up in his own misfortune and decides to use his unique GPS-like abilities to find his way back to what he now considers home.

Filmed on the stunning coasts of Brazil and Argentina and based on a moving true story that captivated the world, My Penguin Friend is a story about the magic of the sea, the beauty of nature, and the transformative power of love.

“My Penguin Friend” will be performed at the Alice Gill Sheldon Theater from November 22nd to 27th. Screening times are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at 3:30 p.m. and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, November 25, 26, and 27 at 6:30 p.m.
