Speaking to the media during his opening statement Monday, it was clear that the tragic school shooting in Madison, Wis., was bothering Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers.
“I don’t have much to say. It’s just unfortunate that things like this keep happening,” Rivers said. “Kids can’t go to school safely and we don’t seem to be doing anything about it. I’m not going to get up on this podium and give a long speech, but I’m just going to say that it’s terrible. Except. Abundant Life Christian School shooting incident killed two people and six others were injured.
A teacher and a teenage student were shot and killed Monday afternoon, Madison Police Chief Shon Burns said. Burns said the shooter’s family is cooperating with authorities. Two students are currently in critical condition with injuries considered to be life-threatening, and another teacher and three others have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Madison police, the gunman 15 year old female student At school. The shooting was carried out with a handgun.
Natalie Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha, died on the way to the hospital from what authorities believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The official determination of cause and manner of death will be made by the county medical examiner.
“Every child in that building, every person, is a victim and will forever be a victim. We are trying to figure out and piece together what exactly happened. There is a need,” Burns said.
