Safford — Gira Valley tradition returns the day after Thanksgiving.
The Safford Downtown Association will host the 21st Annual Freeport McMorran Tree Lighting and Ponderosa Air Ambulance Merry Main Street on Friday, November 25th at 5:30pm on Main Street in Safford.
The lawn in front of Safford City Hall will be covered with snow. Main Street is full of food vendors, games and activities for the whole family.

The Kempton Chevrolet Stage features live music and karaoke, with banners provided by CMI Quick Copy.
Santa Claus makes an appearance and talks with the boys and girls, following the lighting of the tree and the performance of the local choir. And the popular scavenger hunt begins.
