FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Tired of warm weather? Good news. A winter storm moving into northern Arizona is expected to cool much of the state.
The storm is expected to arrive Tuesday afternoon and continue overnight into Wednesday morning. Temperatures should drop into the low 30s in Flagstaff and Grand Canyon Village, but not much cooler than that.

If you’re in the Valley, expect significantly cooler temperatures and balmy weather. A few showers are possible early Wednesday morning, but don’t get too excited if you’re in Phoenix. This storm is unlikely to break our dry trend.
Winds are expected to pick up across the state on Tuesday, reaching 25 mph in lower desert regions and 45 mph in higher elevations.
Wind gusts could reach 90 mph in some areas of the Colorado River and high wind warnings are in effect. The wind gusts will be among the strongest in the state.
