Southern California Golf Course Just Down The Road From Rose Bowl Stadium Destroyed By Wildfires

Damn, this sucks.

Southern California golf courses are sadly feeling the brunt of the wildfires. Currently racing Throughout Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

Altadena Golf Course, located in Altadena less than eight miles from the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium, said in an Instagram post Wednesday that its clubhouse unfortunately “didn’t survive” the inferno.

Video footage posted on Altadena Golf Course’s official Instagram account shows flames rising in the surrounding area and smoke rising from other areas that were already on fire. “We will come back even stronger,” the course said on Instagram.

This nine-hole golf course, which opened in 1910, went up in flames during the Eaton Fire.

This is just one of several sports-related stories to come out of the California wildfires, illustrating the dramatic impact they have had on the Los Angeles area. Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Reddick said Wednesday’s game between the Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames has been postponed after families were forced to evacuate their homes.
