Catch me, Clay!

The Houston Texans soundly defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in Saturday’s AFC Wild Card game, and one of the biggest reasons for that was the latter’s quarterback. Justin Herbert.

Throughout the regular season, Herbert only threw three interceptions, but threw a mammoth one. 4 in a postseason game against the Texans. And what makes that statistic even worse is that one of those picks came back for a touchdown for Houston. Los Angeles’ season ended on a disastrous note. Naturally, Herbert has been slammed for his bad play, and although he’s been lit up like a Christmas tree, he apparently doesn’t live up to the standards of the NFL’s bust quarterback-turned-stale commentator Robert Griffin III. Apparently not.

RGIII believes that Herbert will not receive appropriate criticism because he is… *drum roll* … white. Yes, you read that correctly. The former Baylor Bear implied that a white quarterback like Herbert wouldn’t receive the same backlash compared to a black quarterback. lamar jackson (Baltimore Ravens) duck prescott If only (the Dallas Cowboys) were playing at the same horrible level.

The national media should hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performance the same way they do Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

I’m not alone in feeling this way, as is OutKick founder Clay Travis, who labeled RGIII’s senseless racism “intolerable.”
